There are many different types of editing ranging from fixing typos through adding comments to wholescale restructuring of pages. Don't be afraid to edit but always think about the value of the page to the reader. If you have a bug fix it is better integrated into the text of the recipe then added as a comment to the bottom of the page. The later requires the reader to integrate your changes into the recipe while the former does the work for them. Since there are many more readers than writers the former is to be preferred.
